    In 2012 I read about these engines.
    All cars are now designed to fail before 100k.
    They have help from gas companies – hence ethanol.
    Ethanol absorbs moisture & degrades rubber.
    Why are they designed this way ?
    Cash for clunkers took most of the older cars off the road.
    When your motor blows or tranny goes ( look around ) what are people going to do ?
    Spend a few grand on a motor or tranny or trade it in and start all over again ?
    New cars are garbage.
    Go spend 15k on a 68 Nova or 70 Camaro, not a Hyundai.

    I don't understand why GDI engines have so many problems with valves carboning up, diesels make insane amounts of junk inside the intake manifold caused by EGR+Oil coming from CCV and never have problems with valves (instead, they have problems with the stupid plastic swirl flaps getting destroyed or cloged lol)
