You forgot to add that Volvo cars like to use special Volvo tools, depending the year they don't use tdc for timing. Also Subaru boxer motors tend to have headgasket failures/issues so it's a good idea to ask for service records. Older KIA/HYUNDAI vehicles use Mitsubishi motors and drivetrains, it's all about proper maintence from the previous owner/s.

I still pull wrenches and punch OBD2 buttons. Preach the gospel brother. I am still sticking to my 95 C1500. Rolled a million with a new trans, rebuilt rear and now needs an in frame overhaul. Just rings and bearings. We will see If I can tell you this in another 20+ years. I know she will come out of the frame for the next one.
