Lexus is so irresponssible having the alternator break after 25 years, possibly leaving you stranded. Chrysler at least has the decency to break their alternators as soon as you bring it home.

Scotty make awesome repair videos. He makes it look so easy. My lexus ls430 2001 has 3270000 miles and still has the original alternator and starter.
The dealer wants $600 to change the spark plugs on my naturally aspirated 6 cylinder 2014 f-150. After getting 6 plugs for $60 and watching a few YouTube videos it looks like the intake manifold has to removed to change 3 plugs. Besides the obvious idiotic design that needs a Scotty rant do I need a new intake gasket?
The plugs apparently project slightly into the combustion chamber so they can tricky to remove. I was told to soak the area around the plug overnight with PB blaster before trying to get them out. Is this advice solid?
KEYS ON THE PAINT … It's the only thing I see with Scotty I don't like … You're almost guaranteed to scratch the paint if you have your keys hanging on your front hip.
