Rookie mistake… i inspected the whole car except the check engine light .. its good now i got lucky 3 codes were evap egr and some other small thing.. lesson learned ?

i drove thew water years ago it was not deep then my car started running so bad misfires coads and everything but then it start running good after 5 mins . I have no ideal why . it was not very deep I got 1999 grand AM that was years ago car still running great . But no water was in oil or anything i did run fuel clearer water remover day later . But car all ways have since i had it seem loses power when driving in heavy rain But i was told by GM them Model cars it was knowed issues and there no fixs for it . for lose of some power when driving in heavy rain
Can’t believe how greasy some mechanics can be (shorting out check engine light).
