Wow Scotty! Rear taillight short!?
I would've never guessed! GREAT TO KNOW! COMPUTERS!
EVs though…they may not be as complex…just sayin My Brother! 😉
Thanks your videos are great
Scotty, I took a 1999 Dodge Dakota to a mechanic because it was stalling at red lights and sometimes acting like it was going to stall while the truck was moving too, and that was with the gas pedal to the floor. It felt like the gas was having trouble reaching the motor – felt like the motor was struggling or like the truck was just losing power. Spent $600 plus on it, the mechanic drove it around before I picked it up, and he said it was driving great with no stalling out. As soon as I got home with it, the problem was back and the check-engine light was on again. The mechanic said he replaced an oxygen sensor. Any ideas on why it's still acting up?
How about a video showing us precisely how to locate and clean ground wire connections?
Lol its so true!
There's that Beauty Cover again Scotty!
Life was definitely easier when a backup light was simply turned on by a dedicated switch on the transmission control lever. Ever since OBD2 the floodgates opened for nonsensical flaws as well as real. I drive a 2000 Volvo S70 which every once in a while throws a P1672 code that supposedly indicates an immobilizer malfunction. It is nonsense since the car is not upside down and I am not a thief trying to steal it and it runs perfectly smoothly with that code on. Worse is that in States with emissions inspections like mine, even such a nonsensical code will cause it to not pass inspection and impede re-registration. I don't know why Volvo would design the immobilizer to stop a thief without realizing no one would want to steal a 23 year old car. Same thinking went into inserting a code into the radio. Who'd want to steal a 23 year old radio that only fits a Volvo? Why don't those features come with say a 5 year sunset assuming they were ever useful?
My "13 Honda Fit, door lock and unlock when I roll the windows down…help. The door locks have been crap since day one. I hear its common on Fits.
Scotty thanks….you have common sense rare these days 😂
I simply have to praise your videos Scotty….I consider you "The Pope" of the automotive universe…."dying breed" as you rightly asses…..I follow you daily and enjoy both your humor, knowledge and sanity…in these insane world which is taking this disastrous EV path……I hope my 2018 diesel vehicle will stay functional before I loose ability to drive (now in my early 60ies)…..
