Hey thanks for posting this. Mine has a problem and I'm currently in progress attempting to repair it without buying a new latch actuator. Your videos have been helpful so far. Thanks.

My problem is a little different. The same pot metal arm hinge has another connection to another gear set. It is fitted in with a square connection but the connection has wore out and now does not lock into place right. I think I am going to drill hole thru and fasten or use your epoxy method but it will wear out again. Amazing paying $250 for a .50 cent piece wearing out!

Would you happen to have a video on the mechanical potion? I am looking to repair the locking piece, It doesn't lock at all.

Rather than gluing the original broken pin, in its place I drilled a tiny hole and inserted a tiny nail through it cut to size and glued. This should be more durable in the long run. I expect that gluing the original piece in would break as easily as it did the first time. By the way this was a helpful video. Couldn't have repaired mine if I hadn't seen how you took it apart. Saved me from buying a $200 part.
