I haven’t made a profit besides my 1000$ paycheck in 5 years however I have bought a couple hundred grand in tools and equipment
I know one thing most air filters pay .1 or .2 depending on the car if I told someone 50$ to install a air filter my shop be a ghost town
Love the motivation I'm a machinic don't believe in upselling people on little stuff they don't need like you said let them know if it needs done right now or can wait but don't fuck them then your going to lose customers in the long run not saying you do that but this is my first time watching your YouTube just trying to just where your coming from might subscribe got to see more only watch reputable mechanics not saying your not but don't over sell people to if you don't have to looking forward to see more

This is good motivating advice. But…. You should not show a profit for the first two years, after this you will have to. or the irs will get upset. Once you learn how to make money, you need a good accountant to show you how to keep it. Managing a business and turning wrenches is a path to an early grave. Pick which one you like and hire out the other. Just experience. Good luck everyone. My advice is just do it. Quit giving reasons why you cant.
