Had a 4.7 Dodge Ram towed in because it wouldn't start and the owner said he had just bought it as is… many, many hours of diagnosing and basically every part related to the ignition system on the truck later, we find that the person he had bought it from had someone swap the entire engine on it. The reason it wouldn't start was because that 'new' engine in there had come out of a 4.7 Jeep. The engines are similar but not identical, on the plus side he got the truck for dirt cheap!

15:13 she has no idea what she is talking about… a 4wd bearing in a 2nd car is bad because a 4wd bearing is held together by an axle and nut holding pressure on it… why didn’t you guys show the guys

I found a front inner cv joint on a 4WD Hyundai Santa Fe Packed with rags. On purpose. The joint was worn out, and due to a very poor design rusted/seized into the very very expensive dual clutch transmission.

The joint had mig-welding spatter all over it, where someone had welded stuff to it in an attempt to extract the joint from the gearbox. They gave up.

They packed it with rags, ground off their welded on stuff, put a new boot on, and auctioned the car.

I removed the gear box and transfer box, cut/smashed the gearbox into bits in order to remove the transfer box and a half-shaft, and fitted a second hand gear box.

The inner CV joint, still seized into a bit of differential, sits to this day on my bench, used to store drill bits.

The 4wd wheel bearing is designed to have an axle shaft through it bolted down obviously. This is what holds the bearing together. If an axle nut ever comes loose it will most likely damage the bearing as well.
