Hello Scotty I hope you're enjoying your evening great video by the way and thank you for it!!
My old auto mechanics teacher back in high school used to call the 4 cycles of the engine suck, squeeze, bang, blow. Because he knew it would crack up our teenage minds. And it did we laughed our asses off every time he said it. I miss that dude, good ole Mr. Akers.
I had a 1st gen 1983 Rx-7 in 2001 with 80,000 miles on original engine and I averaged 24 mpg. Not to mention, I averaged 1 quart of oil lost per 3000 mile oil change.
I was given bad info about the revving and durability and I had to replace the engine in a few years. I was 28 and driving it way too hard. I got the new engine and drove the hell out of it and it lasted until 400 miles past the warranty. I drove it like it was indestructible but it wasn't. That thing accelerated like nothing else!
And application of sports cars you have very little tour at the bottom RPM range and they have very high rpm ranges in real world application,
Love the video! I really enjoy this style of content that you create! Very informative and helpful! You can always learn something new every day! Blessings! Have a great night!
Miss my 81 RX7.. had 75k miles on it. Stored it for 20 years. Sold it a few years ago because never could get it to pass smog after moving to L.A. in 1986
COOL THAT CHEVY AIROVENT! never heard of it ! ha.
ZOOM ZOOM.
Vega?
Most driving in Japan is stop and go see the traffic that’s why they send their motors or 60,000 miles back over here and sell them because people think that’s not much mileage. But in Japan they’re illegal to run after a while because of the smog,
I had a 1979 rx7. Got 172k out of it. Good Car.
