My dealer did this on my brand new MK7 R when I asked them to retint the back due to dealer tint being bubbled. Tint tech chipped the defrost lines in 2 places and didn't do anything but tint over it. Of course, they didn't' conduct, so I brought it back in. Instead of repainting the lines (two small nicks), they said they could only replace the glass. They replaced the rear glass and tinted again. Of course, the glass tech scratched the car in the process.

At least you could own your own mistake.

I just had a VW fail. I changed rear pads and rotors. Found two seized calipers so I replaced them. Had a seized hard line that goes to caliper. Had to hand bend a new one. Gravity bled calipers and decided to bleed them the old school way and now my brake booster is leaking vacuum. Apparently Golfs don’t like that and I should have used a pressure bleeder 🤦‍♂️. Stars didn’t align

That's the beauty of DIY car repairs, too. Even if you made a mistake, you get to learn something new on your own.

Such an honest vid, you got there! Very relatable. How about the right front window–what method did you eventually decide on to use on your last window?

Great videos, I finally bought a VW 2003 passat 1.8 t 4 door. I have wanted to buy one for awhile. Everybody tells me not to buy a vw, parts are too expensive they are expensive to maintain, if you can not fix it yourself, the mechanic bill is too much, to many recalls. I bought it anyway. 200000 miles desent shape, new tires, new brakes, needs motor mounts and a windshield as far as i know. Anyway looking at the dash i relize there are all these buttons and lights and no reference to figure out what it is telling me. There is a yellow round circule on the dash, somekind of warning light, but i have no reference to figure out what it means. Maybe a general video on dash lights and buttons would be helpful. Also how do I suggest topics in general with out just adding it to the latest video. Thank you….
