    Here is a puzzler, my Car battery just died completely zero recognition of any power. I was going about my errands with the car when I tried to start it in a store parking lot and it just fizzled to nothing in one second. After about an hour I was going to give up and have the car towed when my mother said try it, it will work so I did and it did ! It started up again like a powerful new battery. When I got home, I turned it off after a while I thought why not so I turned it on several times. It just goes on like a powerful new battery. Does anyone know what happened? Will it happen again? Can someone please explain and help me to understand what is going on? Will it happen again? Mercury Sable LS Premium year 2002 35,000 miles, one owner,me. Battery is 2 1/2 yrs. Old. No crud on terminals and tight, no play on terminals.

Beside the admirable ethic in sharing & caring😁after all, among many reasons & purposes, we inform to avert harm. There may be some safety concerns when misunderstood, so always require precaution beside research & reference, double-check, then give it a go. Beside engineering & technical matter, I'm also avid about & involved with the history of science. One of the matters involves distinguishing the physical science & technical methods in knowledge & application, be careful when conflating the what happens & how measured, beside there are specific technical terms that apply to distinct & various circuit conditions for engineering & safety purposes. Study Ohm's Law, ponder & configure those relationships using the PIER chart or circle, think about & apply it until intuitive & useful, beside communicated from basic to advanced levels as required. Basic descriptions about electron, charge, polarity, & current likely everybody aware (- & +, AC & DC, …), but there are distinctions among circuit return paths, so instead of simply ground, perhaps chassis ground, or return, beside some automobile components don't operate via that perspective circuit route or from same electrical energy source, along with the matters of conduction, impedance, insulation, interference, …; think about getting as much work from the available limited energy source (battery, alternator, generator, …) providing electrons or electrical charge, measured in Coulombs, that will effectively & efficiently operate components in a circuit (release & return, roundy roundy, only get what can be given, …) simply expressed as energy source & the load composed of all respective components; electric potential (or EMF) measured by Volts (Coulombs) as directed force on the electrons, the electric current measured by Amps (as the directed flow of the those electrons; Resistance often described by the opposition to but there's another way …; Power is using that energy over the time needed, Watts is J/s … (I'll return to this but enough for now).
