Come along as I have a look at a 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee that has a customer complaint of no A/C. It is a pretty easy diag after gathering a little bit of data and following the facts.

Funny 10 dollar relay to fix problem now it is built in relay in board-I would bet the power box from dealer is 300 to 400 dollars. So they aint that dumb their selling you more expensive parts.

You've strengthen my choice to never buy jeep products, or any Stellantis product. Consumer reports dont lie.

Cut the wires off the distribution box, rewire it to a $5.99 Autozone 12v relay, roll on

  4. DjResR

Smaller 12V relays use like 20-100mA, so no wonder the testlight turns the relay on, you probably need a 10mA LED testlight for this._

I have to wonder why this isn’t an example of a lost ground. You gave the relay a path to ground and it clicked ON multiple times. How many times have Chrysler products lost a ground?

A little disappointing. Once your reached the point of removing the distribution box, how much longer would it have taken to wire in an external relay? Maybe another 30 minutes? $10 worth of parts instead of $400+ new distribution box which isn't available anyway.
