Some people want a new vehicle every 2 years. I want a vehicle that is paid for and runs for decades. 2002 Ford F150 running like new. I have spent under $500 on non-maintanece items.

In the 600 limousine that thing on the driver's door that has 4 switches that you use to raise and lower the windows, a replacement cost over $3000. Every other part of that hydraulic power window system costs even more.
The Toyota Starlet was a good car until you loaned it to your friend. he didn't know what a manual choke was, so the task of getting it started was just too much of a ball-buster.
most people i know who own starlets now just use the shell to make little rally cars and boy are they fun
