So a big question to ask is, if carbon fiber becomes affordable to produce and becomes the main material used to build the structure of the car, will the car become so fuel efficient on traditional gasoline that it will make the switch to electric actually an illogical move in terms of how much emissions both will end up creating in the end
What I'll never understand are PLASTIC intake manifolds!!! WTF?!!! 😶
And aluminum truck bodies. 🤣
Ironic youre showing footage of the new Tundra. considering their production shortage we'll be lucky to see more than just a handful for the mext 6 months to a year
I think if a modern car manufacturer built a basic model that relies on mechanical function without complex computers it would do well. An intertwined electronic system causes havoc on all components when one fails and makes selfcare impossible. A car with minimal computer function can still be made stylish and allow the owner to perform basic maintenance without worry of irreparably damaging the electronic systems.
Apparently Henry Ford once sent engineers to scour the junk yards all over the country to inspect Model T Fords that had been scrapped. What they were instructed to look for was the component that failed the least often and was least likely to lead to the scrapping of the vehicle. After a number of months they determined that that component was the rear axle. After being presented with this information Ford instructed his engineers to use less steel in the construction of his rear axles, reducing construction costs.
Thank you very much for the insight of the car industry.
Scotty, why are the vehicles of today have earthy colors like clay for example ?? This reminds me of the colors of the 70s without metallic pigments. Keep up the great work fella too.
So…. At what point are you exposing anything?
At least they haven't started making the starter gear plastic yet on cars like on some of riding lawn mowers like an 80's model Sears lawn mower that We had.
Why does that new Toyota with a BIG mouth look so much like a GMC truck?
