my grandparents have a 2018 ford escape EcoBoost. only 20,000 miles and it makes a ton of weird noises and has needed 4 repairs involving the seatbelts. the engine just sounds wrong. its been well taken care of but its just a crap car.

All the car shows i watch are digital so I don't see wats wrong with that.

Hey Scotty I just bought a 2019 Toyota Corolla from a dealership with 25k miles on it, it’s leaking oil in my driveway what should I do.

These days people can go to a bank wearing masks and not get arrested.

I had that problem last year with the 1.5 eco boost on my fusion. Engine replaced at 60k miles didn’t pay a thing but still was ridiculous.

  6. William North

I have a 2014 fusion that this exact thing happened to it. Luckily the dealer replaced the engine free of charge but I feel bad for those who will have to replace it themselves.

How about Ford using o-rings the size of a pencil lead on intake manifold gaskets?
O-rings seal just good enough to get through the warranty period then lose elastic rebound, flatten out and leak.
Hey, vehicles cost a lot of money, make the gaskets more robust. I put thin film of Hylomar on replacement gaskets because I have higher standards…

    Hey Scotty

Why do you recommend F-150s then since they also use ecoboost engines? Aren't they going away from V8s to more of this crap????

  9. CLMDADE

That's why I bought a Avalon, I wanted a naturally aspirated engine… All the manufacturers are putting turbos on everything…
