It is worth it if you don't go to a trade school first. It is better to get in the door at your local dealer. Car wash, detail, Porter, or a lube tech. You will learn more at a shop then at school. No need to pay 2 years of 25G-30G each. Show the techs you want to learn. Keep your nose out of your phone. No social media junk while they show you stuff. They will show you how to diagnose things. We do this all the time. I work for a dealership that does this.

I was a Big Rig mechanic for 17 years. now i am a appliance repair man in home repair… so easy. only need a few tools. make lots of Money $2,700 before tax's… for 2 weeks, i get paid every other week… i tell you appliance work is the way to go… tons of work…

I sure hope it’s worth it! I convinced my son to become one, he’s done two years in a lower level trade school during high school & he’s now in his first year at an auto-diesel institute.
