In this episode, Alex from QCCharge explains the services they offer for repair options that Tesla does not, such as repairing battery packs instead of replacing them. In addition, he walks us through some of the custom tools they use for repairing them and shows the inner workings of a Tesla electric motor. Furthermore, he explains how they rebuild Tesla motors and improvement with drain equipment to prevent premature failure.

How much does it cost to replace a Tesla battery vs repairing them? Can you rebuild electric car motors? Get the answers in this video!

So everything in electric cars are not designed to be repaired easily, right?!!
I think they are good for the mainland China markets where the big-govt owns the most of it.

You pay for electricity cost plus paying for a rubbish electricity tank lol… Not touching this type of car

Sounds like a lot of "ifs" .
If this can be done or if that could be done. If the thing isn't a total price of crap. If we can't fix it, you still get a bill.
Good luck, you'll need it .

In reading the comments I find it amazing how one person can be convinced by this video to never buy an EV and another can be totally convinced EV is the way to go. My 2018 M3 long range dual motor was $63k delivered to my door. Just turned 100k miles, no oil changes, radiator flush, trans service, brake svc, tune-ups, on my 2nd set of tires. Battery has degraded from 310 range to 277 range in 5 yrs. I back into my garage each night and plug into a 240V electric dryer socket, no special charger needed. I make two 3400 mile RT journeys to Calif. each year. The Superchargers have become so plentiful I skip some of them. The car accelerates and maneuvers better than any ICE car costing $63k, by the way it costs $53k now. I have never even taken the car out of ‘chill’ mode which saves battery at reduced performance. I’m 70 yrs old now and cannot do the self maintenance like I did on my ‘07 Dodge RAM 2500. I would be more than happy to be able to take the car into a place like QCcharge and get a 100k mile check-up. I don’t drag race it and I don’t spin brodies in it but I do beat just about everything off the line at red traffic lights due to the instant tongue and zero transmission slippage. I asked what a new battery would cost when I bought the car, $28k, but the battery has 129k mile warranty they said. I recently asked again, $14k they said, but you still have 20k miles on your warranty. The FSD Beta just keeps getting better and better, the trips to CA and back are made much more enjoyable. My M3 is an antique now. The new M3’s have better motors, better batteries, better computers, better cameras, & better options. I look forward to another 100k miles and two sets of tires in the next 5 years. Then I will probably buy the same car for $43k and better everything. Maybe by then QCcharge will make it to Oklahoma.😎👍

Very information. The best You tube I've seen so far. My question is whenever I buy electronics with multiple batteries (Cells ), they always recommend you replace like for like and not mix new batteries with old batteries. When putting in a new "Brick" in with the older "Bricks' what is the effect on its life? Thanks

Would I trust an EV with 200k on the odo and only repair a few cells at $6 to $7k cost? Nope. Other aged worn cells could also go at any moment. 10yr Prius owner and have dealt with same battery issues. Better to trade or sell car at around 100k odo.

We have to remember what time is it is in the said years ago that electric cars should not be used for transportation. His words were true then and they are true now.
