Automatic transmission? Power Steering? Air conditioning? Pretty high-end for an econobox car.

I got a 1996 Toyota Tercel with the 3 speed automatic transmission. It has around 156,614 miles on it, but it got wrecked in an accident that I got involved almost a year ago. The wreck was on the side where the gas cap is, causing the rear axle bent. Fortunately, I found one in excellent condition in a junkyard, but I didn't have repaired the body work because it has to be replaced the left panel using a junkyard one and repaint with the car color. The repair cost was a fortune that I decided to tell the body work man just bend it almost to the original look. Just with the scratches and the hits, consequence of straighten it. Overall, I like to drive my car. I always change the oil and the oil filter on my own. And with pride, I'm from Puerto Rico.

I bought a 1999 Toyota Tercel CE " Made in Japan" the last year they made them . This brand new vehicle had an overdrive, was automatic and of course the best heater/air conditioner I have ever had in a vehicle . I never drove it like a maniac but then I never babied it either. Where I live I commuted many years to work in the winter and when it had winter tires on it I only got stuck a couple of times. But because it is such an agile small vehicle , I could get it on the road without ever needing a tow truck or a pull. Changed timing chain at 70000 miles, never burned oil, regularly changed oil 5W30 (QS only) . I can honestly say the muffler ,rad ,even the hoses to the rad are all original. Change brake pads, bulbs a few other small items. After 297000 miles or 475,000 km i had to put it out to pasture this past summer. I was changing a flat when the jack broke through the rusted undercarriage. The shocks were also completely gone and a few other issues. Took a bunch of pictures of it then drove it the scrapyard . Now I am driving my 2005 Tacoma "made in Japan" which i bought in 2009 with 49000 km on it and it is now pushing 190000 km. I wont get into talking about my wife's 2021 Hyundai Tuscon I know how much you like Hyundai.🤣
    Enjoy your channel Scotty.

My coworker had the stick shift M Type model. That made the car look really nice.

This vehicle is way too old and way too small for most used vehicle buyers. In addition, it is way too slow. A 2004 Mazda 6 station wagon with the 3 L V6 engine and the five-speed automatic transmission is a much better and safer vehicle than this Toyota Tercel. Jay Smart just did a video on that Mazda 6 wagon a couple days back. They are great vehicles. Thank you very much.
