Lol! My recent experience has been just the opposite with late model cars. I have 2 Bmws including one like you have in the video and both have been trouble free for the life of ownership (oil, filters, plugs and serpentine). I also have a Tacoma and a my wifes GX Lexus which have spent many weeks of their lives in the shop with issues. These include but not limited to multiple wheel bearings, HVAC control, A/C relay, leaking transfer case (both trucks), failing wireless charger and low and behold one A/C compressor. If you google the oem parts for the compressors between the F15 X5 pictured and a Toyota Camry they are within $80 of each other. At one point you compared this vehicle with a Corolla, probably not the same buyer interested in those two wouldn't you agree?
The particular car in your video appears to be made of at least three different models judging from the wheels, sport trim and M side mirrors, this might be a red flag to potential buyer. I do agree that BMW has never been able to build a V motor but the X5 model you are picking on here is far from the biggest money pit on a used lot. In fact there are probably models in each car makers line up that are worse especially if you consider Audi, Cadillac, Volvo, Mercedes to name a few. Besides isn't life too short to drive a boring, soul less vehicle that you continually promote even if it does start up every morning?
For a 30 year old German car with a broken crankshaft ; is it better to buy new or does a used vintage part work just as well – for half the price?
Being part of the older generation, I grew up with straight 6 engines. These are the best design going. The Chrysler Slant 6 was one of the great ones. It could have been a further great engine if Chrysler kept it. It had plans for further development. Things went to "V" engines and it was all over. Both GM and Ford also had their share of great straight 6's, but no more. Big loss.
I was in an x5 today 2022 ….. surprised by the lack of leg room…. But it could move !!
BMW = Bloody Money Wasted.
My 02 F-250 with 145k has the original A/C still blows ice cold, original starter, alternator, radiator. I wouldn’t trade it for any BMW or Mercedes! 😂
Ive owned two bmws, a 135 and 335. Neither had all that many issues for some reason.
It's amazing how detailed BMW even cares for their error reporting systems. Odd
I'd like to see somebody take their new C-8 Corvette to Scotty for he could take it to his drag strip.
$410 for a short piece of plastic hose? Plus installation costs? My god
