I brought in my scion to a firestone for tires and alignment because of a special and they told me I needed a new REAR AXLE. I was too flabbergasted to even get in with the guy but let's just say I'm not even collecting on my lifetime tire relations
Midas was always bad about up-selling and telling you "it is very dangerous to drive it like this, you must get it fixed now".
I stopped trusting mechanics when I had them put in a new flywheel for my e46. They install it and the car doesn’t work and they told me my DME was bad. I take it to my cousin and he said they put the wrong type of flywheel in. They did no research or had no clue about it

Scotty, the world is a better place because of you
If only all mechanics had this kind of integrity
I went to a Christian Brothers 4 problem with front end grinding sound well they diagnose it as a brake job which was the thousand bucks for front brakes well the true problem was the bearing was slipping out of the Hub and was almost ready to fall out and they didn't diagnose that I had to do that myself and to say the least Christian Brothers I don't think the name fits them more like rip-off artist
I'm not defending any tire places about recommending tire replacement…but RMA recommends tires come out of service after 6 years. That's not the shop…its the industry standard. I say, if your tires are good keep them. Only buy tires if they're dangerous.
