    I literally had this happen to me with my 2006 Toyota Camry. She’s got 166,000 miles on her. Still runs amazing even after a wreck in 2017. A local mechanic shop told me that my power steering pump was going out and it was gonna cost me $500 to fix it. Took it to another mechanic and it was the hose that had a crack in it. Ended up paying $297 for the work. Last week I had a bad sound that only happened when accelerating and idling. I was desperate so I took it back to the first one that tried to rip me off because I just got an oil change a week earlier and the sound started after. They said it was my drive belt and water pump. Deemed it “not safe to drive”. Cost me $1,198 in repairs. I did it but it made me sick to pay that much. I love my Toyota so much and I hope she keeps pushing. I love watching you videos because it helps me gain knowledge on how to maintain my Toyota and keep her running.

    Back in the day, My dad took his 04 Honda Accord to NTB and they did a bunch of crap like that. I’m glad I found a mechanic like Scotty that has helped me tremendously.

    Be careful of the auto parts store clerk when they tell you multiple times to go to a chain shop.. I asked him if I should go to the same chain but different location closer to my house. He said No, no, no go to these guys up the road..
    My senses told me to stay the heck away from them.

    Most of these places are dishonest and will try to sell you things you don't need. One of these places is the chain Midas, they lie and cheat. Stay away from Midas at all costs. Drive these crooks out of business.
