I got a old Nissan navara that revs to 2000 rpm on cold starts, but then returns to idle straight away, it’s a v6 4.0 petrol , I heard it’s normal for that engine, would that be correct?
KInd of false..my Evo that is built now always idles up to 2k when it starts then settles down and that was even before the motor was built 🤪
Literally had this same exact question today for my ls400 when i turned it on and idled a little above 1k rpms 😭
If your car runs like crap….
….go buy a Toyota.
Fix that ground wire.
It could also be, a vacuum leak, a misfire, ecu, etc, etc
I have a question I have a 97 Chevy Silverado 4.3 but I want to bypass the heater core is ok to do that or do I need to replace it I live in Deep South Texas it’s hot 🥵
My RX8 Revs up to around 3000rpm on a cold startup and dips down to 800 after it has warmed up. Rotaries are funny engines 🙂
Do not do that to newer cars, you can fu$k up the electronic throttle body. Also do not push on the throttle body plate, some need a scan tool to reset them if they get moved manually.
