I was in need of a pickup truck and found one for sale cheap from a private seller. I test drove it and it went fine. I asked the seller if I could take the truck to a mechanic to look over and he said no. I should have walked away but I really needed a truck and I took the chance. On the drive home the "oil pressure light came on". I was so embarrassed and felt stupid. I called my mechanic and he sent out a wrecker to pick up the truck.
The next day the mechanic called me and said it was just the oil pressure sending unit and it was a cheap fix.
I was so relieved but I couldn't help thinking about the people that sold me that truck thinking it was going to blow up on me. Jokes on them as I got a great deal in the end.

Lots of modern french engines with wet belts suffer with oil pressure cause when the belts start to break up and all of the bits from the belt gets stuck in the strainer starve the engine of oil. Crap design
