I had a car's engine seized up on me due to not having oil pressure. There was no warning light there were no sounds other than the car revving out of control for 3 seconds and immediately seizing.
I believe it was Smokey Yunick who said, "If your oil pressure gauge reads zero, it probably means you have no oil pressure."
