    I knew nothing about cars a year ago and was able to replace a flywheel, clutch and slave cylinder in a 94 ford ranger on my own for ~$200 in parts. That was eye opening. Rockauto

    To check the level on sealed transmissions, you have to check the fluid temperature of the transmission then take the drain plug or fill plug for some off and fill it until it comes out and then put the plug back on. ZF transmission and Toyotas are checked at 104F.

    Toyota did this by 2005. I'm glad I got a model that was the year because the 3 of the same made some were sealed. Thank goodness I looked under a hood and didn't see a tyranny dipstick so I immediately thought there was something wrong.
