    The problem with hat is even if u know the code the dealership or mechanic is gonna charge you to run the scan to make sure unless u let them fix it.

    You're right about getting ripped off… my son in law took his 05 Tahoe to a tire store, the name starts with a "G". He already knew the front end needed alignment… they quoted him $1500 and said he needed most of the front end replaced. He had that work done several years earlier. He then took it to our locally owned tire place that did the front end work originally. It cost him $875, but that included a new set of tires…. the alignment was free…
