my 2013 Passat tdi just blew its fuel pump sending metal down the fuel lines, fuel rail, and injectors. A quick search returns fuel pump $750, injector $500 on a car that's worth $3000, dealer wants $7100 to fix it. So long VW! I just bought a Lexus
That I had to discover for myself that there is a solid reason you do not top up your fuel tank once the fuel dispenser shuts down the flow, that if you fill the tank up to the actual top, that it allows fuel to travel the lines right to the charcoal canister and foul it up, and that the lines need to be evacuated after the part is replaced, or else it will become fouled almost immediately if that step to remove any fuel from the evap circuit is not done, mirrors my experiences I had with that 2014 Jetta to the letter. That I had to find the facts of the matter on my own, while it engaged with my love of indulging my curiosity on the web, that it was buried, not cool.

Its just a saab thing lol it just does that when its cold, even here in los angeles.
My 2005 Saab 9-3 2.0 does it, and i changed everything on it, even the Ecm.
I had the 2004, 2006 & 2007, and they all did that in the winter.
