Great Job on these vehicles Electric cars are not all what they say about them

  2. Joseph Stello

Don't we live in a disposable and replaceable society? Sorry Scotty you got this one wrong!

  3. SilverHawkk

Sure buddy. Do your homework. The only parts the Giga Press makes (at this time) are two for the Model Y and then the major ones for the CyberTruck when it's out.

The issue is I see in your video is "I think…" and "…then you gotta buy another car…" and "no one it's going to be able to fix the thing…" is that its your opinion. Maybe YOU won't be able to, but Tesla will and there will be others who will specialize in it. Remember when computers came out in the late 1970's? Do you think that nobody wants to buy one because "nobody will be able to fix the thing"??

Most people on here also think in a 19th century car production mentality. That's when the big 3 started, back in the 1800's or early 1900's, at the beginning of the industrial revolution. Tesla started in the 21st century and is innovating decades ahead of the others. Problem is, that the others can't keep up. Why? Because to re-engineer an assembly line from scratch, including any processes, materials, etc. in order to catch up to Tesla would probably bankrupt any auto manufacturer. They just have to keep treading water and coming up with gimmicks to get you to buy their cars. Do y think that ANY manufacturer would want to start creating electric cars? Of course not, but now they realize they finally HAVE to start… Only they realized it much too late. They realized they're in a race after Tesla already got a good foothold and already started running.

FUN FACT: Total amount Tesla spends on marketing/commercials: $0. The ONLY so called 'commercials' are the ones owners make for fun… So what are they doing that's leaving the others in the dust? Obviously SOMETHING right.

Anyways, I'm sure the rocket scientists Tesla uses from SpaceX have auto accidents and collisions figured out in ways we've never even thought about.  Instead of replacing 30 different parts and making sure everything aligns and lines up after an accident, just replace the 1 broken part and be done. Its just like the crazy engineering that goes into each Tesla vehicle, that Ford, GM and Chrysler and others can only dream about doing. Elon himself said that whatever technology SpaceX comes up with at the time the CyberTruck (for example) comes out, it WILL be incorporated into the CT (custom strong lightweight materials, sensors, etc.)

I'm still waiting on Ford to launch a single rocket.

A few have caught fire ,so they would be a great car for a fireman

Scotty, Elon and many people will say "that's the insurance company's problem". They total it, the insured buys another one and scrapper sells motors, batteries and elecronics to shops that use those parts to convert existing cars to electric. It's a growing business.

    🤔 Hmmm What's the Insurance on a Tesla ?

What an amazing perspective, only Scotty can provide that with his decades of experience.

3/4 ton Trucks are probably some of the more simpler vehicles on the market today. They are simple frames with a body on top with reliable v8s in them.

  9. Daniel Arney

Great innovator of our generation, but hope he will be more sympathetic towards the shade tree mechanic. If you can't fix it, it's worthless to 90% of us.
