Jeeps in the 90s were also quite decent, especially the 4.0 I6. Yeah, the features went belly-up quickly, but the vehicle itself was quite reliable and could be depended on to start up and get you where you need to go, though your AC and radio wouldn’t start up. And this is coming from someone who dislikes Chrysler, as my friends and family have suffered with Chrysler ownership in the past.
I would say it was when Fiat got involved that they really took a nosedive. Some pretty awful vehicles.

I have a 1995 Jeep Cherokee 4.0 high output and love it. Can you all the repairs myself and parts are cheap. 290,000 mi and still going strong.
Scotty 7.2 kilowatts is plenty of power for any appliance other than a large electric heat strip which is the worst way to heat your home.
