Anyone remember the Yugo?

My roomate worked for VW when they brought in the YUGO. I went to see him at the dealership one day and the Yuo was on the front line with a racing stripe decal that ran along the entire front to back wheel wells in it was the word SPORT. lol
Actually the Chrysler 2.2L turbo and 2.5L turbo varient are very reliable, just saying.
My in law has an echo for 10-12 years, very bad car, but she love it and was good on the Canadian winters. After 12 years with just the basic maintenance worked fine, but rust was everywhere

Sad to say my dad bought one of these Chrysler TC tanks used from a "friend" with 40,000 miles. I think Maserati basically did the interior. Chrysler make the car parts and it was similar to the Exxon Valdez…leaked a ton of oil. What it didn't leak, it burned…It also cornered like a watermelon on one wheel…His was the convertible with a solid hard top. He had to construct a rope and pulley system to lift to hard top because it was so heavy, it took 4 people to lift it off…LMAO And when it rained with only the soft to on, the trunk (2 cubic feet) filled up with water. SMH
