Clearly scotty’s memory isnt the best. Dodge didnt start making trucks in 81 ?. They started in 1933 with the T/V/W trucks, then the B in 48, C in 54, D/W in 61. And then finally ram in 81, which first gens are still d/w trucks.
My brothers 2012 GMC sierra denali has rust, squeels, and cheap dash plastic. My 2008 Ram hemi is still solid
Feel like I’m lucky. Have a 01 Ram 1500 and hasn’t needed much. It was a fleet truck so that helps, but it’s lasted over ten years for me. Doesn’t mean I’ll buy a newer one ?

My 04 Dodge Ram 1500 is still going strong at 112K miles. Only problems since 04 was an alternator, water pump, belt, front end, and all new fluids and filters. I have the 8 foot bed I use for hauling my 4 wheeler, wood, and other equipment

Yeah that new ford suspension is for non work smooth highways only. If you use it for work or have to go off road it falls apart real quick!
