I very much appreciate how easy you make all of this look especially when it's intimidating having to repair/maintain my 18 year old German daily driver 05 c230k with 270k+ miles. That being said, I need a more complete toolbox
Cost of labor is a weird one to factor in beforehand. You can calculate how much you made an hour afterwards. That should be a good esitmate for if it is worth the time.

Your struggle with the lug nuts reminds me of my Uncle. He did wheels and tires for over 40 years. He would talk about certain VWs, the lug nuts would walk themselves tighter and would take a 6 foot cheater to crack them loose. 😀
I’m about to do all the same stuff to my 540! Doing the tension strut in my driveway wasn’t very fun! But I’m glad it’s fixed!
