Just bought a used 2004 Toyota Tundra 4.7 V8 4×4 Standard cab Long Bed with 245k. It is in good condition and I want it to last a long time. Going to start doing normal maintenance items since I don't know when the last time they were done and was thinking about changing the spark plugs. Saw your video about using the original spark plugs on vehicles knowing that is what it was designed to run with. But spark plug designs have come a long way since this truck was manufactured almost 20 years ago. So should I upgrade to a Platinum or Iridium plugs or just stay with the copper with nickel plated original spark plugs? Is the extra cost of the newer designs spark plugs going to make it run better and therefore get better gas mileage and pay for the extra cost of the newer more costly spark plugs? I can get a new set of 8 of the original spark plugs for about $25. Where the some of the Platinum and Iridium cost double that or more. What do you think?
