For me the only vehicle I'll ever need is my 2010 Yaris, paid $4k 4 yrs ago, nothing has broken and terrific mileage, double what this thing gets.

Ford is probably the best of the Detroit Big 3 Automakers. As Scotty has shown, GM's quality has fallen, so they are worse then Ford
I think Scotty is missing the total cost. Yes $3000.00 paid but then the cost to fix it plus the cost of re-inspection to make it legal to drive on the roads. Yes even then still very inexpensive for what they have but it’s more than $3000.00.

Not wild about the starter buried under the intake, but a timing-belt on a V8 interference engine is a no-go!
