Remember the old saying VW's don't leak oil they just mark their spot how true because I had a 74 super Beetle
I am a mechanic and someday I am going to be an old mechanic like Scotty. Honest and enjoying him self.
I learned to drive in the 80's on my Dad's 1966 Bug. I loved those old quarter vent windows (I'm guessing that's not the official name for those). Raise a glass to nostalgia.
Scotty! Are you in Marblehead? I know this car!! One of the most beautiful towns in the USA.
My '70 Beetle was a little over $2,000, new, out the door. And, I even paid extra for the AM radio and "leatherette" seats. I sold it for parts 16 years later for $300. It still ran, but the floorboards were rusted out. Great, fun car! It got 30 mpg city or highway — it didn't matter. Very watertight, except when you open the door while stuck in the middle of a stream. 😀
Really cute 🚙
I heard Beetles will drive you buggy. LOL
mechanical gas gauge will not catch fire (maybe the bulb will)
had to put the dash fire out three times~ must have been the many radio installations
scan tool will not help a 61 sorry, scotty~
. my dad had one, and in late 70's, I recall riding the VW Beetle. we were in our elementary schools. amazing fun car . this brings back golden memories . thank you Scotty .
