I just say no thank you to Honda's. You're welcome.
it's staggering how much plastic new cars use yet weigh so much more than their ancestors. a 2000 corolla was just under 2500 lbs and it had very little plastic under the hood. the new ones are almost entirely plastic but weight much much more…300lbs worth.
And what about with the 2004 V6? Does anybody know?
Id just let my girlfriend hold the coolant for a few minutes scotty. She is very hot, no need for water bath. She is with me because of the 5 speed manual 06 civic. It vintage now.
You ought to mention if the cooling fan goes out it can also cause the transmission overheat and cause the same problem.
Thank you Scotty. Very helpful as I have a 2007 accord with 100k miles. Will make sure this gets done soon
3 quarts? wow thats not much at all. i just did my park avenues transmission fluid and filter along with a shift kit and got like 7.5 quarts out. Maybe even close to 8 quarts. My water pump isn't expensive either, its only 48 bucks for an ac delco water pump.
Thank you
