Three owners in 1 year? That's like trying to get serious with someone who has been married and divorced 3 times.
WRX/STI's are a meme car. You can't talk trash about them online without getting flamed, but they are god awful cars, horrible ride, horrible quality, horrible reliability – not even that fast relatively speaking. I will never buy a suby again. Just because it's Japanese doesn't mean it's going to be good like Toyota
At this point I just watch Scotty just to watch. Daily thing for like a year now
Why would you buy a WRX? The engine for the ones sold in the US are infamous for basically imploding at about 100k miles. Now I would consider leasing one and having some fun with it for about 3 years, but buying one doesn’t sound too smart unless you want to use it for the track.
You should get a picture of the car before it was fixed. If they refuse, then walk away.
Sounded like the turbo wastegate popping off not a metal rattle.
