Nice tip, I've never ever used adhesive on valve cover gaskets, but I had some twist like that, I might get me some of that stuff but with a faster dry time… One hour is to much time loss, but I think that upholstery spray adhesive dries fast. I might try it
Hope you are the next person to replace that gasket later in its life when you can’t remove the gasket. You could have just installed the gasket properly and it would be correct without the later aggravation that the gasket is impossible to remove

Scotty i have a 2007 saturn ion with the 2.2L engine and there is oil dripping out of my muffler i was wondering if the valve cover would do that I just had the timing chain replaced and pistons about 5 months ago I put to much money in to just junk it
