Why don't they just put a 5kw generator in these cars. Then when the batterys get down to a certain level, the generator kicks in and starts charging the battery. I have a 5kw generator that I can power my house (sans electric stove, electric dryer, and heat pump) that runs for about 12hrs on 2.5gallons gas. Maybe this has been looked at and it is not enough power to charge the battery enough to give a positive effect while using the car? Maybe some electrical engineer out there can shed some light on this theory…
More CO2 in the atmosphere and the faster food grows –> more food to feed the world. Less carbon equals less growth and more INFLATION on the cost of food. Don't let the real science get in the way.

The only good thing about hybrid cars is there catalytic converters. They hold really good value even after 10 years
My CR-V hybrid (non plugin) lets me back out of the garage on electric, then switches to the gas engine until the gas engine is warmed up. Only then can it go into EV mode. Which meant it ran on gas most of the winter…
