This would be so much better if you do 3 extra things, 1 finer grit paper, 2 put it on a thick cut peoce of glass, and 3 wet sand it for lubrication.

Machine shop hello 👋. Let them boil, blast, and shave the head with new guides and a 3 angle valve job. Do the job once. If they can't afford to do it the right way, then deny the job, so you're not responsible when it is down in 1 month.
