To seal properly, a head gasket requires a surface finish that is within a recommended range. The specifications vary depending on the type of head gasket. If the surface is too rough, or in some cases too smooth, the gasket may not seal properly and leak or fail.

The bolts press down,. I didn't know that. That means that's meant to happen. Dimples but that meaning. Money needs to be spent on motors.
😂😂😂🤦
I've done this on cylinder blocks still installed to avoid a massive disassembly mainly to see if the deck is flat . If it isn't flat you can make the decision to try to fix it in situ or do the full engine out fully disassembled and decked at the machine shop.
Lol not q great idea especially if you don't know how mch matterial has been removed. It can change compression and even camshaft to crankshaft timing. What about checking for cracks?
That head was still pitted.
І пизда голові. Як пропелер буде там яма, а там на край зализана😂😂😂😂
It's an old shcool technique that definitely works like a charm if you know your $hit
I remember my first time ever trying to resurface a head(i was 18ish?) I used an angle grinder and a flapper wheel.. lmao.. had to buy a new head after😅
real youtube mechanics know who did it first
People gonna clown but at the end of the day, while the finish isn’t great and it’s not super precise, it’ll get it running again. Lotta people don’t realize other folks either can’t afford or don’t have access to the tools or a shop to do things the right way.
