Can I do this with my Mitsubishi Galant 2006
Have you tried this on a BMW after year 2000? Removing the battery, I mean? Or other cars that is filled with computers? DON'T REMOVE THE BATTERY!!!! Many cars newer than year 2000 will have to be connected to an external power source through the lighter connection BEFORE REMOVING the battery. If you cut the power from the battery without doing this, you must most likely have to have the car hauled to a garage and they need to restore the onboard computers. This will cost you lots of money and wasted time! NEVER disconnect the battery, it's NOT necessary to do so! You can clean the battery while it is connected, it will NOT short circuit!!! This apply to most European newer than model year 2000! The only concern is that you must avoid water on/in the computers, relay boxes and fuse boxes that is in the engine compartment! The battery is safe!
