You are the best mechanic ever (said while looking in the mirror).
I took my car to a shop with new HID Ballast and asked if they could replace my bad one for new one. The mechanic asked me what was a Ballast and I had to explain it to him then he said 300 dollars. I thought he should pay me for educating him about what it was. I ended up going somewhere else where they knew what it was and they replaced it for 80 dollars.

Please move to California? Hahah
I always do my own mechanical work except one time it was 30 below zero and I was replacing a master brake cylinder in my 02 Honda accord and I dropped the lock pin that holds the brake lines in so I brought it to Canadians tire and explained everything and the mechanic used a cotter key instead of the persicion fit key . I was mad it's going to come out eventually I know it and this is why I do my own work .
