Imagine paying two whole days worth of labor to a big-time corporate body shop, just for the sanding of a couple of dried out fiberglass pieces. Lucky to have my friend Pete and Minnie around instead

Sharing hard earned knowledge for those interested in doing this type of repair. It would have been better where the cracks were to remove all the repairs from the underside and lay up chopped strand fibreglass matt with Epoxy resin (which requires a different type of fibreglass matt (than matt used with Polyester resin ) in layers where each layer has a half inch step inwards towards the centre line of the repair for successive layers, this avoids stress lines. Epoxy resin will stick to Polyester but Polyester will not stick to Epoxy. If you sand Epoxy resin, it will smell like "Dettol" disinfectant and indicates the piece was laid up in Epoxy resin. The biggest problem is to get the new fibreglass to stick to the the old. Before laying up with new fibreglass, bath the old surface with lots of Acetone to get rid of wax and grease from the surface and to soften the old fibreglass. Great video as usual, love this channel.
