so after you sprayed the hood with the can of spray paint on the day before u painted the hood the next day?, thats it? you said something about block sanding what does that mean?

I never painted anything with a can of spray paint and block sanding is a type of paint and body sanding you do using a block instead of your bare hand.

What if you have a carbon fiber hood with only a clear coat so you can see the pretty carbon fiber beneath? Is there anything you can do to fix the pitting and fading of the clear coat without losing the carbon fiber look? Thanks

In my opinion, you can either wetsand with 200 then 400 to feather the bad spots then re-clear as needed. Other then that not much you can do!
