Great video. I've never tried to repair one of these. Nice to know they can be repaired rather than replacing the element. Thanks for sharing!
Another great video, as a suggestion i suppose you could use some heat shrink tubing over the the solder instead of tape.
Best way to tell if your heat element is bad, is there will be a burn in the seat where the element is. Love that T/A!

Pretty fragile set up there. I believe the solder melts anywhere in the 500 to 600 degree range so the heat will not bother it. Heated seats are great for leather which feels colder than cloth in the winter. Great fix Mr K.
