What do you do when you make a hole in the button of your fob because you press it with your nail tip. 🙁

I have a 2008 Hyundai fob that has the same buttons as that ford one. After watching this I thought what the hell, cant fix it so I soaked it in 99 for a minute then worked the buttons. It worked, thing is you have to give it time to completely dry. If not all the contacts light up and don't stop. Then you annoy the neighbors. I wish I would have seen this two weeks ago. I replaced the same Honeywell thermostat last weekend for that reason.

ok mine still does not work. I didnt see any dirt on the Q tip. Its a new battery. What could it be? I have to push the button like 5 times to get it to work.

Easy to solder a microswitch back to the circuit board. I just fixed my Volvo that had two switches stuck to the booty when I took it apart. Saved big bucks.

Just wondering, will 91% isopropyl alcohol work?

Thank you so much. I’ve been having issues with mine lately. It’s a 2004 GMC Truck and when I opened it up it was very dirty. Cleaned it up and it worked like a charm. Thanks for the video.
