Excellent. Haven't yet seen this problem addressed as you have. Problem occurs with most any silicone rubber touchpad device including TV remotes. The issue however, is not as much "dirt" as it is the release of silicone oil from the rubber touch pads which forms a gooey/oily substance preventing proper conductivity between the silicone rubber touch pad keys and the circuit board pad. I've cleaning numerous remotes that were literally coated in goo.
Current speculation is that the repeated pressing of the keys is what squeezes out the oil of improperly cured silicone over time. 99% acts as a degreaser to remove the excess oil, allowing the electrical contact to be properly made between the rubber pad and the circuit board.

What about when the contacts (dodge) are loose. How does a guy/gal secure them?

I never thought of this before, but what does "FOB" stand for?

I put my Chrysler 200 S keys through the washer AND the dryer by accident, the key fob was unresponsive afterwords. I tried what he showed in the video with the Dodge key and I can’t believe it’s working again… hopefully it stays working. Thanks

You saved me $180 x 2 for my car and truck. Both 2005s and this worked and saved me $$$$. Thank you so much. I had to order the truck one a new case for under $10 due to it falling apart but I was able to make sure the inside worked first and you helped! Thank you

I couldn’t figure out FOR THE WORLD why the lock button on my fob wasn’t working! (Making my alarm go off) Ford Edge 11 Limited.. I took it apart and saw that the little thing under the key button was missing (it wouldn’t make a clicking sound when I push it.. it’s kinda hard to explain) I replaced it and EVERYTHING IS BACK TO NORMAL!! You saved me a headache and $$$.. thank you xoxo xoxo
