I am a second year student in a vocational school (which is a school where you can go into any traid examples are auto mechanics and auto body) and im in auto body. My teacher would kill you if you hit the paint surface with the hammer. With a hammer and dolly, the dolly sits on the original contour around the low spot and you hit the dent out from the back with the hammer. And thats the wrong kind of hammer, you need somethinv called a pick hammer.
