In this video I will show you a few tricks on how to remove or hide scratches on your car, but also I’ll go over how you can permanently remove and fix light and deep car scratches in your clear coat by hand. I will show you what types of sand paper that is needed, the rubbing compound to use and again there is no need for a rotary polisher or a Dual Action or Random Orbital Polisher.

If it only takes 5 minutes why is video 12 minutes long ?

What a great video!  However, what about the dot that was left unrepaired?  Try going to Michaels or Hobby Lobby and buy a  Craft Smart multi surface premium oil-based paint pen for three bucks.  Match the color of course.  Then touch the dot.  Or, go to the dealer and buy the same sort of pen for $27.00 and bet screwed. Well, that's what Porsche nails you for it.  Ciao!

Try using Meguires Ultimate compound for your rubbing compound. It breaks down into a polish. You will get faster better results with less elbow grease. Meguires also has Scratch X, try using that before you break out the sand paper.

Why didn’t you fill the deep spot with a bit of base coat before sanding?
